Self-Criticism, pt II: Micetro 26/5

I've decided I don't really like the Micetro format - for the reason that you don't get to play much, and when you do get to play, you HAVE to play. It's just not a very good system really IMO.

1. Poem - OK. Rhyming and stuff, you know. Wha'ever.
2. Vikings - good scene but I was totally redundant - only in there to justify getting the points for being in the scene. Parallel character, silent onstage mannequin, whatever, that was me. No way to exit without interrupting the scene going on, so I stood there like a jackass. Oh well, I got to have horns.
3. Most Terrifying Scene - interesting, allowed for screaming and flailing and stuff, which is always fun to do, as well as totally BELIEVING there was a 50-foot worm about to eat me. Lots of movie references...chaotic, nonsensical and fragmented, but then again it was a lightning scene.

And that was it. It was a pretty good night of improv, but again, the format kind of takes away the free-flowing form that it usually has.  The competition aspect isn't the problem, it's that you're assigned to specific scenes. So you don't really get a chance to do what you want to do, you're muscled into the scenes you're muscled into. Yeah, not a very good night for me. Didn't really get a chance to do anything though, so yeah. I had fun anyway.
